My brother Mike has this expression he uses when I repeat myself. Which is frequently. He refers to my comments as: "The Department of Redundancy Dept".
Guilty. Culpable. Sue me.
I have berated folks literally dozens of times over many months with details of SJF's Mission, progress, intentions, our schedule, and the inevitable link to my fundraising drive. The intention has been (and remains) to raise expenses for the Stowe Jazz Festival. I image most just glide past my posts. Can't say I blame you. Here we go again. Ask, ask , ask. Especially those that have already donated. Will it ever stop? YEP. In about 9 days.
But until then here is the scoop:
Yes, gofundme has raised over $33k - ALL thanks to YOU. And that is a significant number. Gofundme is just a 'part' of our fundraising effort. To clarify, gofundme does NOT cover the entire Festival! In addition, the gofundme will not send us any funds again until AFTER the SJF weekend. SJF expenses are close to $149k this year, even with record frugality; many expenses being covered by our own Volunteer Board Members. And that is a dedicated, generous and remarkable thing. It is always shocking to me how many people believe so strongly in this thing I started. Truly, although I am obviously passionate about it...there are others? Wow.

The Opening Party is at Talta Lodge on Thursday evening, the 13th; where everyone gathers to launch the weekend, including dozens of musicians performing on Friday, that arrive Thursday. It's a hang - with a phenomenal band.
And then we're off. Over 100 Artists from all corners of the World; Grammy winners, household names in Jazz, remarkable composers, instrumentalists, vocalists that - without SJF - would NEVER perform up here. In 11 Stowe venues including the outdoor MainStage. Over 50 volunteers, food trucks, Alchemist ales and Wine poured by our friends from Cork. ALL OF IT - FREE. So bring the fam...friends, relatives, neighbors.
So please - hit up the links below. We are at this point nearly $14k short. I just KNOW that there are a few angels out there that can actually just make this go away - so that we can keep bringing this unique event to the region - and to Stowe. It belongs here.
